Bio Hazard (Japanese: バイオ ハザード, Hepburn: Baio hazādo?) is the first boss from Darius Force. It is shaped after a daphnia/water flea (Daphnia).
Appearance
It has the form of a mechanical daphnia. Its body is elongated and armored, with a green and metallic design. It has a sharp head whit yellow green eyes, long limbs resembling hands, and various mechanical parts exposed, giving it a mix of aquatic creature and robotic machine. Blue bubbles and metallic details are visible along its body, enhancing its cybernetic look.
Gameplay
Bio Hazard will initially attack with a three-bullet spread from its arm. After the arm is destroyed it will spread bullets in a counterclockwise pattern and release bubbles which pursue the player but can be destroyed. After the large bubble protecting its body is destroyed it will use homing missiles along with the bullet spread and a laser in the harder difficulties.
